Proceso tratamiento con aguja permanente

Step 1

Consultation and Diagnosis

Before treatment for Parkinson’s or other diseases, each patient must be individually examined. Thanks to the medical history (anamnesis), our medical team can learn about their ailments, family history, other pathologies, etc. A patient-doctor relationship based on trust is fundamental for the success of the treatment.
After the consultation, a complete analysis is carried out, from which the patient is offered detailed information and any possible doubts are clarified. Finally, and before the intervention, a consent document is completed.
Step 2

Medical Examination

Only after the individualized study of each case can we know how many micro-implants are necessary and their location. Their placement is not always symmetrical, which is why in the treatment for Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, or other neurodegenerative diseases, the number of needles may vary between the right and left ear.

The exact location of the points to be stimulated is very important for the treatment to be effective since, despite the existence of reflex maps, there are no universal points, and they must be located individually in each ear.

Step 3

Implantation

After disinfecting the ears and applying local anesthesia, the needles are implanted at the corresponding points (auriculotherapy). The application of these micro-implants is carried out using a practically painless pressure system.

The number of micro-implants needed will depend on factors such as the symptoms and severity of the disease, medication ingested, social and family environment, the patient’s mood, etc.

Step 4

Follow-up

Follow-up is usually carried out at three, six, and twelve months after the treatment. However, our professionals are permanently at the service of the patient and their relatives throughout that year (via phone, email, WhatsApp, newsletters, etc.) to resolve any queries and/or provide further information related to the treatment.

In the first contact after the micro-needle implantation (three months later), the patient’s general condition and the symptoms of the disease are analyzed.

Likewise, it is verified whether the patient has reduced their medication dosage for Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, or the disease being treated—something very common thanks to the action of the micro-implants. Other additional circumstances such as diet are also observed, reinforcing healthy advice if necessary to promote healthy habits in the patient.

In the second contact (six months after the treatment), the follow-up is completed with a questionnaire that allows our professionals to evaluate and confirm the success of the treatment. Again, both the patient’s general state of health and the evolution of each and every one of the symptoms are exhaustively analyzed.

After one year, the treatment is considered complete, given that its effects are lifelong, and the patient is definitively discharged. Nevertheless, our team will be happy to assist and/or resolve any doubts or concerns after this period.

Similarly, should a booster be required later due to the appearance of other pathologies, we will assess the situation and duly inform the patient.
