Personal experience of the development of Parkinson&#8217;s disease"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>On the occasion of a visit to family doctor on May 15, 2017, I told him that it seemed strange to me that my left hand was wobbling. When I saw him again on November 27, 2017, I told him that the shaking had increased. I also informed him that my father&#8217;s older sister had Parkinson&#8217;s disease. He examined a couple of my joints and told me it was not Parkinson&#8217;s.<\/div>\n<div>In February 2018 I had surgery on my left knee and they put me in a complete prosthesis.<\/div>\n<div>A month later, on March 27, I informed my family doctor that I was not feeling well psychologically.<\/div>\n<div>Already in April he sent me to a neurologist. I was examined by an assistant. On the second visit I was diagnosed with Parkinson&#8217;s disease. He prescribed &#8220;Madopar&#8221; and due to a side effect, I was constipated, I stopped taking the medication.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On June 14, 2018 I underwent surgery on my right knee and received a complete prosthesis there as well. During a stay in a rehab clinic, I suddenly noticed unpleasant contractions in your legs at night. The neurologist prescribed 5 drops of &#8220;Rivotril&#8221; of 2.5 mg \/ ml at night.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On September 14, 2018, I attended an information conference on Parkinson&#8217;s disease at the \u201cInselspital\u201d in Bern (University Clinic). I also went to the psychologist about 4 times.<\/div>\n<div>On October 10, 2018 I ran into a friend at the gym. She noticed that my general condition had worsened. She found on the internet the story about the discovery of the permanent needle. She suggested that I saw the video, which impressed me.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I do my best to stay healthy!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>After the treatment only 2 months later, on December 11, 2018, I received therapy in Valencia.<\/div>\n<div>Each person is unique. The therapy didn&#8217;t work for me immediately. Slowly but surely I started to feel better.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I don&#8217;t need the psychologist anymore. And I was no longer satisfied with the choice of my neurologist.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Regarding a conversation with an acquaintance on June 1, 2019, with the help of my family doctor, I received a consultation appointment with a professor on June 24 at the \u201cInselspital\u201d in Bern.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Since the fall of 2019, I have not been taking any more drops of &#8220;Rivotril&#8221;.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Every four months I go back there for a check-up and every time I go they find that my health has improved. 3 months ago, in August 2020, the doctor asked me if I would be willing to reduce the medication I have been taking since the end of June 2018: 1 Madopar 125 mg every 6 hours, 1 Requip 8 mg and a Xadago 50 mg every morning .<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Why should anything change? I just notice that I&#8217;m getting a little bit better from month to month:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8211; My hands hardly shake anymore.<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; I&#8217;m much better, especially psychologically<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; I have no more trouble walking<\/div>\n<div>Nor any more when writing<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>My family doctor recently told me that the development of my health condition had<\/div>\n<div>It worried him in the fall of 2018 and now he is speechless seeing how much I feel<\/div>\n<div>it is much better.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I am very grateful!<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the occasion of a visit to family doctor on May 15, 2017, I told him that it seemed strange to me that my left hand was wobbling.
